Advanced Manufacturing Programs:

    Eligibility:
    • Graduates and current final-year students in Diploma in Engineering

  2. Robotics & Automation for Smart Factories
    Eligibility:
    • Graduates and current final-year students in B.E/B. Teach (All streams)

  3. Industrial 3D Printing Design and Manufacturing
    Eligibility:
    • Graduates and final year students from Diploma in Engineering, B.E./B.Tech (all streams), BSc, BCA & other graduates

  4. Advanced Arc Welding Techniques
    Eligibility:
    • Graduates and current final-year students from ITI (welder, fitter and machinist grinder trades) or 12ᵗʰ Standard

  5. CNC Operations for New-Age Manufacturing

For all courses, the fee is collected in two instalments: Admission Confirmation Fee to be paid upon receiving offer of admission and the remaining amount to be paid prior to course commencement (exact date to be notified by email). Course-wise details are as below:

At Tata IIS we firmly believe that no individual should be denied an opportunity for a strong and stable career because of financial or social constraints. The course fees at IIS are highly subsidised, to make world class skilling accessible to youth from all walks of life. However, we understand that some candidates might need additional financial support. Upon request, we can connect candidates to partner banks to explore loan options for skilling. The specifics of the loan amount and interest rate are subject to the rules and regulations of the bank.

  • Housing facility: At present, the IIS do not have a campus residential facility. Upon request our team can facilitate arrangements for residence near campus.  Trainees will be responsible for bearing the expenses; expected to be ₹8000 -₹10,000 per person per month in Ahmedabad and ₹10,000- ₹12,000 per person per month for Mumbai. These expenses are inclusive of meals and ancillary services such as electricity, Wi-Fi etc.
  • Optional Accommodation: Trainees have the option to choose an accommodation that best suits their comfort and discretion. While the institute has shortlisted a few options, trainees can explore alternate options at their discretion. Local residents also have the option to commute from their homes for training sessions.
  • Transport facility: IIS will facilitate transportation for trainees between its suggested housing facility and the campus (at no additional cost). Trainees who make their own accommodation arrangement, might be provided transport facility depending upon the feasibility. We advise day scholars to have a provision for travelling on their own.

Trainees who successfully fulfil all course requirements, including attendance, evaluation, and abiding by all rules and regulations, will be awarded a training completion certificate. This certificate will be jointly issued by Tata Indian Institute of Skills, along with either Indian Institute of Skills Ahmedabad or Mumbai, and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, for IIS Ahmedabad trainees, the Government of Gujarat will be one of the parties jointly issuing the certificate.

The admissions process is designed to maximize accessibility for aspiring candidates while ensuring admission for dedicated and deserving individuals. The entire process is conducted online, enabling candidates from remote locations to apply with equal ease. According to our admissions policy, we follow the following process: – For Advanced Manufacturing and EV courses:
  • Online registration: The first step to applying for an admission to a course of your choice is to fill out a short form, with basic details including educational qualifications. Course-specific academic qualification requirements are specified in the eligibility section. Candidates must either be in the final year of the relevant course of must have graduated in the past three years.

  • Clearing the online admission test: Candidates will receive a test link via email (same as the registered email id in step 1). The test will have multiple-choice questions (MCQs) on quantitative and technical topics, with 15 questions to be completed within 45 minutes.
  • Payment of admission confirmation fee: Candidates who clear the admission test receive admission offers via email from our official address: admissions@tataiis.org. This email includes details of and link to fee payment. At this stage, candidates must pay the admission confirmation fee (as specified in Table 1) to secure their seat. Seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Reporting in person on joining date: This marks the final stage of the admission process. Failure to report on the specified date will result in the cancellation of admission confirmation.
For Hospitality Courses:-

  • Clearing the admission interview: Candidates will have to sit through and qualify a personal interview taken physically or online. The interview will assess their personality fitment for the industry and our course. Technical abilities will not be assessed. In few select cases, we might have a conversation with the parents/guardians of the candidate.
  • Submission of documents and fee payment: Candidates must submit general documents such as identity and address proofs, along with signing trainee declarations and submit the course fee before course commencement.

Delay in completing any of the above steps will lead to the cancellation of candidature unless a prior exception approval has been obtained from the relevant authorities.

The fee refund process is determined by the number of days remaining until the commencement of the course. Further details on the refund structure are outlined the admissions policy (Downloadable on admission page on our website) In case of disqualification or no-show, the fee will not be refunded. 

 

Our Logo

Inspired by the tree of knowledge, this logo implies a tree with interspersing dots representing various skills that the institute offers, making it a wholesome skilful tree. The tree’s bark represents individuals with different mindsets coming together with a common purpose of growth. Lastly, one can subtly see the acronym IIS which also represents students as figurines.

Our Impact

To date, we have trained and placed around 300 students. Our alumni are working with notable companies, such as Torrent Power, Powerlite Electricals,  Taj Hotels, Indian Accent, and Hyatt.  Equipped with holistic technical and business skills, many alumni have also chosen the path of entrepreneurship to realise their dreams. 

We firmly believe in inclusion. Identifying segments that need us the most is one of our goals. We are mindful of reaching the tribals and marginalised and ensuring maximum women participation.

Campus and Infrastructure

Coming up on a sprawling 20-acre plot in Nasmed village, our state-of-the-art campus is meticulously designed to provide a conducive environment for learning. We believe in investing in the future and the campus infrastructure design is in sync with this philosophy. The buildings, while architecturally simple and sustainable are designed to instil a sense of pride and inspiration. To encourage practical learning, the classrooms have integrated labs that are equipped with the latest industrial equipment, that provide exposure to actual manufacturing practices.

The initial phase of development includes cutting-edge academic buildings spanning 40,000 sqft. Equipped with advanced technical labs specialising in Advanced Manufacturing and Electric Vehicle domains, these facilities can accommodate over 750 trainees annually. As we progress, our vision extends to creating a 3L+ sqft Ahmedabad campus with hostel facilities, catering to training in Advanced Manufacturing, Electric Vehicle, Electronics, and Hospitality sectors.
